Meet your Facilitators

Ishwarya Chaitanya, founder of Kula House of Yoga, is delighted to present this retreat alongside her two very close, long-time friends — Katie and Wade Janzen.

Wade Janzen
ISA Certified Arborist · Environmental Professional
Wade is a Vancouver-based arborist and environmental educator whose work bridges outdoor learning, ecological literacy, and community engagement. With roots in urban forestry, he helps people build deeper relationships with the natural world through storytelling and hands-on knowledge.
He also explores tarot as a reflective and creative practice — blending symbolism, queer theory, and guided conversation to support personal growth and meaningful connection.

Katie Janzen,
Registered Occupational Therapist
Katherine Janzen is a Community Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary health leader with a background spanning rehabilitation services, social impact strategy, and arts and culture programming. She currently serves as OT Team Lead at Tall Tree Integrated Health Centre and Clinical Lead at West Coast Client Services Society, where she supports Canadian Veterans experiencing homelessness and complex health challenges.
Prior to her clinical leadership roles, Katherine worked as Director of Programming for a Vancouver-based arts and culture non-profit and later as Director of Social Impact, leading community engagement initiatives, partnership development, and equity-focused programming
